iVention understands the importance of good automated manufacturing practice

Pharmaceutical company Tiofarma is very pleased with iVention’s new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). ‘Everything is possible with this system, you name it.’ 

Tiofarma produces medicines for pharmacies and other companies that distribute them. This involves processes that use ICT: preparing the analysis process, logging all analysis data, processing analysis data and finally reporting the data, including making a certificate of analysis that does justice to good automated manufacturing practice (GAMP).

To optimize the support of these activities, a new LIMS was chosen. A selection procedure involving eight LIMS suppliers resulted in the iVention Laboratory Execution System (iLES). “iLES easily outperformed all other systems,” says project leader Erwin van Rijssel, who with his team went through the entire process of selection, implementation and qualification.
